Course Description

After completing this course you will understand what the .NET platform offers. Learn the differences between VB6 and VB.NET.

This course also helps application developers understand the Microsoft® .NET Framework. In addition to offering an overview of the .NET Framework and an introduction of key concepts and terminology, the course provides a series of labs, which introduce and explain .NET Framework features used to code, debug, tune, document and deploy applications.

After completing this course, students will be able to:

Migrate Visual Basic 6.0 applications to Visual Basic .NET.
List the major elements of the .NET Framework and describe some of the major enhancements to the new version of Visual Basic.

This course also helps application developers understand the Microsoft® .NET Framework.
